My name is Karen. I grew up on a large cattle station in Cape York Peninsula, where the vast, open landscape shaped my childhood and continues to inspire me today.

After relocating with my family to Charters Towers, Queensland, I began searching for a way to bring my lifelong passions together into one meaningful venture. That journey led to the creation of Nockacoora - a brand that reflects my love of creativity, craftsmanship, and a touch of fun.

Nockacoora takes its name from a large natural lagoon on our property, the backdrop to countless childhood adventures and cherished memories.

Every piece I create is made with care and heart, drawing on the natural beauty and simplicity that have always inspired me.

After many years of trading at local markets, Nockacoora proudly opened the doors to a beautiful little shopfront in the Stock Exchange Arcade alongside Here in the Towers in late 2025. We’d love to meet you - so please pop by and say hello.
